“Being a part of the 18^th International Youth Leadership Conference was one of the most precious experiences in my life”

The organization Civic Concept International first initiated IYLC, the main objective of the conference is to facilitate an exchange of ideas across an ethnically diverse and socially responsible group of young international leaders.

The 18^th IYLC was successfully held on July 19^th – 24^th, 2009 in Prague, Czech Republic. In general, the conference was divided into two parts of activities; group simulation and interactive dialogue with experts. During the conference, we participated in many events that made us actively involved to speak up our mind.

This was my first live time experience involved in international students forum. The conference gave me lots of advantages; I made lots of new friends from all around the world with different cultures and also languages, we built good relationship and networking which will be very valuable in the future, this also improves our leadership skill and self confidence. Meeting people from different cultures means that will create lots of point of views, so it is really important to be open minded to avoid cultural clash. Another major point that we derived during the conference was the ability in English language is an essential thing to communicate and understand each other.
